Retired and always wanted to play guitar. I found Buffalo's School of Guitar online and after reading the reviews signed up for lessons. They have lived up to their excellent rating. The owner Chris Glyde is very involved and routinely checks on my progress. He has made himself available anytime I have a question or issue. Both of the instructors I have worked with Chris D. and Mike are knowledgeable, passionate and great teachers. They have tailored my lessons to achieve the goals I set with Chris Glyde when I signed up. I highly recommend BSG.

I’ve learned and grown so much in my first year with the School of Guitar. You learn at your own pace and see progress every lesson. The plan is very structured so you are always being challenged by something new. Highly recommend!!

Though my time at buffalo's school of guitar was short due to surgery's on my wrists which is preventing me from learning to play guitar. My time there was incredible. I learned more in days there than I did spending months with so called professional musicians. They make you feel comfortable and are genuinely happy to see you progress and succeed. Chris. Micheal, and Chris are awesome teachers. If you really want to learn to play the guitar and learn proper techniques and fundamentals, look no further this is the place you need to be. Thanks guys for the time spent with me, much appreciated!

Where do I start? I began lessons five months ago, and at 59, had doubts that I could start from absolute zero and get the hang of it. Thanks to Chris’s teaching approach, I’m not just making progress—I’m actually loving the process. I look forward to the lessons and the daily time I carve out for practice. If you’re on the fence, just commit and stay open to it. The teachers are kind and supportive, and I leave every lesson understanding more and feeling more confident.

The instructors here are great! This has been a low pressure experience to learning guitar, with no judgement, just people who are excited to teach others the instrument! After playing around on my own for a while, I decided to take lessons to ensure I had the fundamentals down. They have all been very attentive and polite, and they have a keen eye for all the small things that have helped me become a better player. The lessons are easy to understand and all the teachers are great at explaining/working through any questions I’ve had! I would highly recommend lessons here if you are looking to improve as a player, or if you want to start to learn!

Chris, I think that this is a very professional school that does a very good job of teaching. With a very good use of examples and methods. I will recommend Rochester School of Guitar to my family and friends.

I tried learning on line but that wasn't working until i found Chris and his staff. They had me playing the chords correctly which made a huge difference. The one on one teaching is excellent and what i needed. highly recommended.

just spoke to Chris , he was totally rude he was trying to be a salesman and wanted 275 dollars a month for lessons 2× a week I only wanted to go 1 time...folks look elsewhere..don't waste your time here.

I just retired and always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Started up with Chris and his team a few months ago and I am amazed at the progress I am making. They make it challenging (but not overwhelming) and fun. Highly recommend!

It’s been a great experience learning how to play the guitar here! I absolutely love the environment, very welcoming and laid back! I went in not knowing how to play anything and today i am able to work on any piece of music that interests me! Anybody thinking about learning how to play should definitely consider signing up with Rochester school of guitar! Chris has a great staff at both locations I absolutely love this place

Rochester's School of Guitar is fantastic. At the time of this review I've been attending classes for almost 2 years, and it's been a very positive experience me. The material and structure has allowed me to improve my guitar skills faster than I ever did on my own. And it's not just for beginners looking to start guitar for the first time. The fretboard classes offered are great for intermediate and advanced players looking to take there playing to the next level.

Rochester School of Guitar has been a really great experience for learning guitar. Chris and the instructors have a great system to make sure you're achieving your goals and progressing as a guitar player while still having fun and not being overwhelmed. The classes are always enjoyable, helpful, and leave you motivated to keep playing while also giving you the necessary knowledge and tools to practice at home and keep making progress. Would recommend them to anyone at any skill level!
