Every parent wants a music school and teacher they can trust to equip their teens with the skills and knowledge to explore music in their own way.
This may seem like a simple task, but finding the right music school or teacher can be challenging —especially if you’re unsure what to look for. Many teachers and schools struggle to explain their methods, the benefits they offer, and how they can truly help your teen beyond just learning to play their favorite songs.
As a result, many parents—lacking the right information—end up treating guitar lesson in Buffalo as a simple commodity. They choose a teacher based on convenience, price, or location rather than truly understanding what sets one instructor or school apart from another.
Unfortunately, this often leads to problems. Even with the best intentions, parents may not have enough insight to make the best choice for their teen’s musical journey. Over the years, I’ve heard countless stories of frustrating guitar lesson experiences, with a few common themes:
Parker (2nd-year-student) – “Chris makes the classes fun with his great sense of humor.”

FAQ
At Buffalo’s School of Guitar, we’ve designed our methods to work with your teen’s schedule and priorities. They can progress at their own pace, and if schoolwork needs to take precedence, guitar lessons won’t interfere. We offer flexible lesson times to t around their academic schedule. While we currently don’t offer instruments for rent, I’d love to talk about your concerns. Many parents hesitate to invest in a quality instrument until they’re sure their teen will stick with it. While this approach makes sense in theory, it can back re. Poor-quality guitars are harder to play and don’t sound as good, which can make learning frustrating and less enjoyable. A well-made instrument can make a big difference in your teen’s experience and increase the likelihood they’ll stick with it!
